Pumaspeed in conjuction with AmD tecknik of Bicester have been developing the new 2006 model ST FOCUS, the first item under the microscope was the new bosch ECU.
Phase 1 CHIP upgrade is now complete, it comprises a simple remap of the ecu.
Boost on the rollers was pegged back from the 1.2 bar experienced on the road to steady 1.0 bar
Rolling road tests at 1.0 bar boost showed power up to 255bhp with large torque gains.No other modifications were done.
Price for the upgrade 1 chip reprogram is 499.00 £
Phase 2 ,to be tested in late january, will have subtle changes to the new ecu program to make most of the free flow panel air filter element and free flow cat back MILLTEK SPORT exhaust system.
Price for the upgrade 2 chip reprogram ,MILLTEK SPORT EXHAUST and Panel filter element is £999.00inc vat
Sources within AmD tecknik , a bosch ecu tuner for over 14 years ! ,estimated that power levels close to 290-300 BHP could acheived very soon"
