Ainsi que la saison du championnat européen...

C'est vraiment dommage ces problèmes d'homologation, d'autant plus que la Mustang semblait être compétitive à Jarama.
Espérons que tout soit réglé d'ici l'année prochaine et qu'elle puisse enfin rouler.

There are some errors on the homologation sheets and the FIA wants the car to be exactly like on the sheet. But this is impossible: the length of the anti-roll bars is way too short on the sheet and cannot be fitted to the car...

So in short, the car must be re-homologated properly in order to run.

Multimatic built the car and produced the homologation sheet. They are to blame then...

I still wonder why they did not see it earlier. The car ran at Brno and did the qualifications at Jarama but it was only before the first race at Jarama that the problem arose.

Due to a still not so clear administrative ruling the Marc VDS Racing Team was forced to sit out the opening race of the FIA GT3 championship in Silverstone, but for the second race in Brno they were admitted to the race.

“Martin Bartek, our partner and constructor of our two Ford GT in the GT1 World Championship came to visit us after we announced our decision regarding the Mustang”, Marc van der Straten smiled. “He put two Ford GT at our disposition, the cars should arrive in our workshop shortly. One of the cars will even participate in the Test Day next Wednesday in Spa!”

“Of course this is wonderful news!”, an enthusiastic Eric De Doncker adds. “The whole team felt very down yesterday, but today the motivation is completely back. This was a very nice gesture of Martin Bartek and Marc van der Straten appreciates it fully. He is relieved as well, because now we can fully respect our commitments towards our partners, our fans, but also the RACB and RACE, the organisers of the race. He will not regret this choice, but we are still eagerly waiting on our come-back with the Mustang.”
